Blog Hop July 21-22 featuring Hostess Gifts and Non-Card projects!

Welcome to this month's VC Rocks Blog Hop featuring Hostess Gifts and Non-Card projects!  I happen to be stop number 2 with the 00 as the start VC Rocks

You might of came otherwise from stop number one... Mary Jo Price-Williams with her blog, Technostamper  She does such wonderful work....Well I decided to clean yesterday, instead of working on my blog but I was cleaning the stamp room so that is good...so I am going to make a scrapbook page with MDS today.  Did you know that Stampin Up is going to release a new MDS 2 as of Aug 1, 2012.  Hope you enjoy this.

Well I did plan on doing a scrapbook page...but instead I made a calendar page with birthday and anniversaries.  I used a 12 x 12 page, did a worn look DSP, added photos in the background and then made them very soft by turning the opacity way down...I used two different photos, one for the sky and one for the water. Then added the calendar, decided to use the balloons/opacity for the dates.  Stamped the headers, and added text for the names.  Also has additional notes for anything else.  This could be printed on whatever size paper......I do need to get back into the MDS...and to buy more stuff for it......

 
Happy Birthday Daphne!  Photos was from our trip to Lincoln City, Oregon for our anniversary....5 days at the coast and lots of walking the beach....

PPA123 Putting on the Ritz....

Today I am the featured artist on Pals Paper Art....the theme is Putting on the Ritz and I was going for a Very Vanilla and Basic Black card.  But then I realized the very vanilla would not show up well on a white background so I redid the card with the baja breeze too and of course I did it with MDS....Now if I was to make this in person, I would of used satin ribbon but I had not downloaded the satin in MDS let.

My internet has been up and down so I hope this will post at the right time....

PPA122 Color Challenge

Two cards instead of just one today.....both done with MDS.......

 and with a few color changes...

It is a bit late in the week for PPA122 but today with all the cold and the boys had left for a while (nephews) so I got on the computer to play with MDS..My Digital Studio to do a card for ya...

Every week Pals Paper Arts has a challenge on thursdays so do check back with them each week...it is lots of fun...next week I am the featured artist...sorry was going to post what the subject is but you all have to wait...most likely it will be done with MDS...

Dec 3 Blog Hop...It's all about blue.....

It's all about Blue.....

I hope you have enjoyed our blog hop....I am the last stop on the blog hop, you could of came from Krafting With Karen. This 6 x 6 card was made with My Digital Studio and can be printed on a home printer or can be printed thru Stampin Up MDS print site.  I started with the DSPaper, matched up the color with the solid card stock.  What is nice with digital is that you can soften or change the opacity and change the size of stamps etc. I only used three colors, Island Indigo, Pool Party, and Basic Black.  And what is nice about MDS, is that once you have it, it never gets old....and you can use any color, stamp etc.  To go on with the hop you can visit the parent site, Hopping Just for the Fun of it

PPA119 Fashion Inspiration....Holiday thank you card

It is Thursday, was going to sleep in this morning, my only morning this week to do so but plans change...so after I got home again this morning I decided I needed to get to work for the PPA119 challenge....I made this 6 x 6 card all on the computer...with My Digitial Studio SU program...it was so easy to do. This week the challenge is on Fashion Inspiration of the Holidays and what better card to do but a Thanksgiving thank you card.....I just love how you can resize the stamps, etc and instead of stamping off a stamp to make the ink lighter, on the computer you just turn the opacity down like I did on the center stamp.

Then you can print the card on your home printer or have SU printing service print the card out and get as many as you might need...or using the card photo as part of a email thank you etc.

I have been working on more MDS as I am still having knee issues since the surgery and doc says lots of ice and it is easier to be on the computer than at the stamping table....plus this way I don't have to do photos...it is all on the computer already...So here is what I have been playing with....

Look how it can be changed so fast....here it is with a few changes...

I will try to post more in the future...I am just sorry that this knee issue has been keeping me down so much and so busy with PT (physical therapy)...it is a 3 day a week thing so it uses up a lot of time daily.

     I did my project with My Digital Studio, I wanted to make a special thank you card for all of you that has been holding me up with your prayers and thoughts as I go thru this knee surgery.  I found the DSP paper and went from there...not a fancy card but with the fall season and my thoughts. I just love using the MDS, just to play sometimes and now with my knee it was easier to use than fighting thru my stamping room mess to find just the right stuff.

I have been playing again with My Digital Studio

I have been playing with MDS again tonight, I made a cute Christmas banner.....all in MDS...

I am nowhere a great designer with My Digital Studio but it is getting easier all the time...I want to do a Thanksgiving banner but want to get some new downloads....
