Have a happy day card

Spring Break time here and it has been a busy week.  Daily visits from Robert and Scott.  Many days of geocaching with Scott, we are up to 11 found geocaches.  What is geocaching?  It is like treasure hunting with a handheld GPS unit.  To see more www.geocaching.com So here is Mondays mojo card a few days late.  

This is a fun card and it uses 12 x 12 cardstock for the base of the card, I used textured sage shadow.  Other cardstock used is Pretty in Pink, Elegant Eggplant, and Whisper White.  Stamp set is the Hostess set of Picnic Parade with Clear block B with Elegant Eggplant stampin pad.  Also used is a texture plate and the Big Shot machine and Whisper White 1/4 in grosgrain ribbon.  Do you see where I used a punch for the happy day saying, yes that is two punch outs used together.

PPA 34 Sketch - Vintage Rose card

Time to play at Pals Paper Arts with the PPA 34 Sketch. Stampin Up cardstock used: Kraft, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink.  Designer Series paper Bashful Blue,  also Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon.  Stampin Ink pads used Garden Green, and Rose Red.  Stamp set used Vintage Vogue with clear blocks B, C, D, and H.  Also used Horizontal Slot Punch and three So Saffron Brads.

Manhattan Flower Birthday card

Happy Patty day!!!!

This card really did not photograph well...a simple card.  Base cardstock Lavender Lace, Certainly Celery embossed with the Manhatton Flower folder with the Big Shot machine.  Then I wanted the flower to show up better so I used a Sponge Dauber to add Shimmer Paint Champagne Mist to the flower.  Also used Barely Banana cardstock with the stamp set Vintage Labels (a SAB item).  Stampin Pads Lavender Lace and Certainly Celery and the Wide Oval punch.  Finished it off with Stampin Dimensionals to raise the oval up a bit.

Thanks Embossed Card

I just love how this card came out.  I have been working that Big Shot machine again....The Thanks is embossed with a Embosslits in the Big Shot machine.  Cardstock used was Handsome Hunter, Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Apricot Appeal.  Designer Series paper Welcome Neighbor a SAB item.  Stamped with Basic Black Stampin Pad and stamp set Messages for Mom.  Also used Pretty in Pink Stampin Pad on the embossed Thanks.  Used 3 Flower brads on the card, tip...used the mat pack with the paper piercing tool to make the holes for the flower brads. 

Reminders...only this month for SAB, and only to the end of April for the Occasions Mini, come May 1st we start a new Occasions Mini catalog.

MOM Happy Birthday Card

 
Today is my Mom's 81st Birthday!  This is the card I made her.  I just love my Big Shot and on this card I have used the Top Note Die Cut with Pretty in Pink cardstock and a piece of designer paper to match.  Base of card and oval is Sage Shadow cardstock.  Whisper White cardstock was used with the Embosslits Beautiful Wings and the Big Shot to make the small butterflies.  Tip: make up butterflies ahead of time in different colors to use on cards and other projects.  Stamp sets used Messages for Mom, and Picnic Parade (Hostess set.  Clear blocks used A, G, H.  I just love the clear stamps but if wood is your love, the stamps sets do come in wood too. Also used the Wide Oval Punch.  You have until April 30, 2010 to purchase from the Occasions Mini Catalog...come May 1, we will have the new Summer mini catalog...and more great stamps, product, etc.

Embossed Hi w/Heart Card

 

I love to use these Embosslits....in this card I used the Hi, and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits with the Big Shot machine.  Papers used: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Pale Plum and Designer Series Welcome Neighbor, a SAB item that you can get free, but it ends at the end of this month!  Stamp set used this time was the Picnic Parade Stamps a hostess gift that ends on April 30. And then punched out with the 1 inch punch.

Happiness Always Card

 

Challenges challenges, I just love color challenges and Inkspiration Colour Challenge #19 brings us one with the following colors, Regal Rose, Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.  I really like the way this card turned out.  I am working my way thru all the cardstock colors within Stampin Up and today I start with Chocolate Chip for the card, and I used stamp set Itty Bitty Backgrounds (free stamp set with SAB) with Whisper White Ink.  I just stamped all over the card.  Then I cut out same size strips of Regal Rose, Taken with Teal and Whisper White.  Using Watercolor paper, yes Stampin Up sells it, I stamped with StazOn black ink with stamp set, A Flower for All Seasons.  Colored in with Stampin Up Write Markers with your choice of colors.  Tip, using a scrap of paper, same as you are coloring on, check each color on scrap before you go to your stamped image so you can see if the color is going to be the right color, not too dark or light before you use it.  Then with cotton ball, one of the best non Stampin Up items I use, color in the edge with Taken with an Teal stamp pad (just rub the cotton ball on the pad and tap on the edge)  Whisper White cardstock, saying is stamped on with Chocolate Chip Stampin pad with stamp set Whimsical Words, another SAB item that you can get for free but only thru the end of this month.  Edge the paper with cotton ball and Regal Rose, add a Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon and it is done.

Love challenges...PPC-CC #3 Color challenge

I love doing color challenges and this one was one that I just had to do with some of my favorite colors.  Picture Perfect Creations challenge was to use the following colors, Basic Black, Rose Red, Bashful Blue and Whisper White. I got new Stampin Up supplies in and had to use as many as I could. I started with Basic Black for the card.  Ran a piece of Rose Red thru the Big Shot with the Eyelet texture plate and sized it to the card.  Then with the Matchbox BigXL die cut, with the whisper white cardstock cut out the piece to go behind the Happy Easter wording. The Stamp set is Well Scripted in the clear stamps and used block B.  Flowers was stamped with Bashful blue Ink pad and then punched out with the new large flower punch.  Butterfly paper is Rose Red Designer Series Paper.  Butterfly was punch out with the Butterfly punch two times and the lay over done.  Used two of the Bashful Blue Brads and used the piecing tool to make the holes, just love that tool and the mat too and then I don't mess up my table top.  I did cut the flowers some to make them have shape and not be as flat and did use a cotton ball to ink any edges that I wanted blue.  I will be back to Picture Perfect Creations to do more challenges in the future, thanks.

PPA 33 Color Challenge - F is for Friends Card

For this challenge with Pals Paper Arts we was to use the colors Garden Green, Certainly Celery and Kraft.  I loved this color group.  So I used those colors in Stampin Up cardstock and a piece of Designer Series paper of the Certainly Celery.  Stampin pad is Garden Green with the Vintage Vogue Stamp set.  Clear blocks used is A, and C.  Finished it off with 3 Certainly Celery brads.  Was a very easy card to make and love the colors...thanks Pals...

Happy Easter card in bold bright colors

 
Here is one of my favorite layout sketches for cards that I use from time to time. I started with cardstock, Green Galore, strips of Pink Passion and Bordering Blue.  Happy Easter is stamped on Very Vanilla with Pink Passion ink pad with stamp set Well Scripted.  Then punched out with the Scallop Circle punch, and then with a cotton ball, used the Pink Passion ink pad to lightly color in the edge and else where if wanted to be done like mine.  The dry herb stamp is from Garden from the Heart stamp set.  I used Clear blocks B and E.

All supplies used are Stampin Up other than the cotton ball.
