PPA155 Card Sketch challenge

I love card challenges and this one is from Pals Paper Arts, PPA155 a card sketch challenge.

One more day til SAB is over again for another year....so this card has SAB Ribbon in it but you could use the other Island Indigo ribbon otherwise but I do like this ribbon.  Also remember that with the possible end for now of the In Colors 2011-2013 season, we will lose those colors on May 31, 2013.  This card is made with all 5 colors and 3 of the ink pads.

Everything is green cards....and I hope things will be green outside soon.....

I have two cards for you all today...I needed a card for the chat and challenge for SUDSOL today and this is what I came up with.  I wanted a basic card but just in the green family of colors with a bit of Very Vanilla...

Supplies for the cards, plus basic supplies:

Card Stock: Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla.

Ink pads: Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery.

Stamp Sets: Ciao, Baby!, Papaya Collage.

Ribbon: Grosgrain Stitched Wild Wasabi.

Punches: 1 1/4in Scallop Circle, 7/8in Scallop Circle, Petite Curly Label

Big Shot and your choice of Empossing Folder, I used the SAB Vine Street Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. #130492  on the second card.  On the first card I used one of my favorite embossing folders...the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder  #119976

D is for Dog Card

Like last nights card, this one is a SAB set that I got earlier and thought it turned out cute....all with the new colors of 2010-2011 catty....

Card stock Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, and (LOVE IT) Wild Wasabi.  Inks are Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.  D is for Dog stamp set and punches small tag, and the larger tag punch.

C is for Cat Card

I am so enjoying working my way thru all my soon to be current stamp sets for the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog.  I got this stamp set as part of SAB earlier in the year and had not really had time to do anything with it....so here it is now. 

Card stock Whisper White, Pink Pirouette (yes it is back), Baja Breeze (back too), Early Espresso (NEW).  Ink pads Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla.  Stamp set: C is for Cat.  Also used the Curly Label Punch.

Manhattan Flower Birthday card

Happy Patty day!!!!

This card really did not photograph well...a simple card.  Base cardstock Lavender Lace, Certainly Celery embossed with the Manhatton Flower folder with the Big Shot machine.  Then I wanted the flower to show up better so I used a Sponge Dauber to add Shimmer Paint Champagne Mist to the flower.  Also used Barely Banana cardstock with the stamp set Vintage Labels (a SAB item).  Stampin Pads Lavender Lace and Certainly Celery and the Wide Oval punch.  Finished it off with Stampin Dimensionals to raise the oval up a bit.

Thanks Embossed Card

I just love how this card came out.  I have been working that Big Shot machine again....The Thanks is embossed with a Embosslits in the Big Shot machine.  Cardstock used was Handsome Hunter, Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Apricot Appeal.  Designer Series paper Welcome Neighbor a SAB item.  Stamped with Basic Black Stampin Pad and stamp set Messages for Mom.  Also used Pretty in Pink Stampin Pad on the embossed Thanks.  Used 3 Flower brads on the card, tip...used the mat pack with the paper piercing tool to make the holes for the flower brads. 

Reminders...only this month for SAB, and only to the end of April for the Occasions Mini, come May 1st we start a new Occasions Mini catalog.

Thinking of You card and Challenge

Last night I had to unwind from the the day, and I made this card.  It is a challenge sketch from Unscripted Sketches.  I did a few changes to make it mine but I like the way it turned out.  Cardstock used Tempting Turquise, Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal, Taken with Teal.  Watercolor paper stamped with StazOn with A Flower of All Seasons (SAB) with your choice of Stampin Up Write Markers and Tempting Turquoise Ink pad.  Very Vanilla Stampin Pad used with stamp set Kind and Caring Thoughts, a hostess item in the current Idea book good until the end of June 2010.  Finished off with a Satin ribbon tied in a bow with Certainly Celery.

Happy Birthday is in the air....challenge card

Why is Happy Birthdays in the air...my Mom's birthday is tomorrow and I have a special card for her that I will share with all of you tomorrow.  So I decided for today I would do this other birthday card,that I might use for a young man next month.  It is also part of a sketch challenge for Card Patterns Sketch #55.  It was a fun easy design to do.  Cardstock used Really Rust, Mellow Moss, Whisper White, Bordering Blue, Bashful Blue, and Designer Series paper Bashful Blue.  Used stampin pads Really Rust with Itty Bitty Backgrounds (one of the current stamps that you can get free with SAB), and Bashful Blue with Happy Moments (SAB) and Clear block B.  Taffeta Ribbon is Bashful Blue.  One of my favorite ribbons are the taffet's as they are just the right size for tieing bows.

Embossed Hi w/Heart Card

 

I love to use these Embosslits....in this card I used the Hi, and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits with the Big Shot machine.  Papers used: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Pale Plum and Designer Series Welcome Neighbor, a SAB item that you can get free, but it ends at the end of this month!  Stamp set used this time was the Picnic Parade Stamps a hostess gift that ends on April 30. And then punched out with the 1 inch punch.
