Welcome to this month's VC Rocks Blog Hop featuring Hostess Gifts and Non-Card projects!  I happen to be stop number 2 with the 00 as the start VC Rocks

You might of came otherwise from stop number one... Mary Jo Price-Williams with her blog, Technostamper  She does such wonderful work....Well I decided to clean yesterday, instead of working on my blog but I was cleaning the stamp room so that is good...so I am going to make a scrapbook page with MDS today.  Did you know that Stampin Up is going to release a new MDS 2 as of Aug 1, 2012.  Hope you enjoy this.

Well I did plan on doing a scrapbook page...but instead I made a calendar page with birthday and anniversaries.  I used a 12 x 12 page, did a worn look DSP, added photos in the background and then made them very soft by turning the opacity way down...I used two different photos, one for the sky and one for the water. Then added the calendar, decided to use the balloons/opacity for the dates.  Stamped the headers, and added text for the names.  Also has additional notes for anything else.  This could be printed on whatever size paper......I do need to get back into the MDS...and to buy more stuff for it......

 
Happy Birthday Daphne!  Photos was from our trip to Lincoln City, Oregon for our anniversary....5 days at the coast and lots of walking the beach....

I really don't do scrapbooking but I have some cool projects for ya today...

   This is my front cover of this medium sized mini...it is just made of 3 sheets of DSP and 2 sheets of cardstock...

   Inside of cover and page one....

   Inside the album....I had gotten one of these albums as a prize so I don't even know who made the one I received but I just had to case it.  I do cards so I don't have alot of 12 x 12 cardstock and this was the only color that went with the DSP I had  so that is why of my colors but it is so much like the warm fall weather we have been having here.  Just two covers, chipboard or cereal box or what I used was a used swap envelope, then three sheets of DSP, used two different designs, and then the 2 sheets of cardstock 12 x 12's.  No photos in it or to fancy it up til I have photos for it but it is a cool medium sized book.

   I think you will see more scrapbooks in my future as I just bought a new toy...oh that should be tool....

   With it I made this oversized mini album..........

 

I really just made too many pages so I might redo it later to have less and then to just add photos and fancy it up...add stuff to put in the bags...I made these myself out of DSP...Binding is a harder to do within SU as we don't sell a binding tool or even large eyelets anymore.  I even used out of date DSP as this was more of a test than anything.....
