Washi Tape card...love that washi tape...

Do you see it...it has washi tape in this card.....love that stuff, it is so easy to work with.  It is part of the Epic Dat This and That Designer Washi Tape and Kit.  Been almost afraid to do the book but decided to start with at least a card.  Used some of my favorite stamp sets too.  This card started out as part of a chat and challenge with SUDSOL online.

A new card......I am back into my card making after a long time away from it. New month, new mini and a new challenge card with PPA

I am so pumped...it is a new month, a new mini catalog (holiday) and a new challenge card with Pals Paper Arts, PPA109.  The challenge was a color challenge using Calypo Coral, Riding Hood Red, and Basic Gray.  I used all three in cardstock and ink pads plus a little Very Vanilla card stock.  I used the new stamp set from the mini holiday catalog, Festive and Fun.  See that background...I used the French Foliage stamp set with all three colors stamping out the leaf.  I am really starting to make my own design backgounds that way...see more on Sept 10 when I do a blog hop with Hopping Just for the Fun of it All Holidays is the theme for that Blog Hop.

The SU Watercolor pencils gets over looked sometimes and this really helped pop'ed this card out, just color it in, don't have to use any water....

SUStars Blog Hop Fabulous Folds

  

 

I do regular cards most of the time so this is a bit different for me....this summer I hosted a swap of fancy fold type cards and this is a style of one of the cards that was done at that time. If you are hopping with SUStars, you most likely came from Eileen's site, Stampin' Fevre

Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder

Ink pads: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, So Saffron

Punches: Large Oval, Decorative Label

Ribbon: 1/8 in Taffeta Early Espresso

In doing this card, I only made the one as I am cleaning out my scraps as much as I can right now, did not have to cut a single piece of cardstock from a new sheet....(I wanted to use a DSP but I don't buy alot of DSP...I seem to just keep it and not use, so then I don't buy it) so I made my own by using the leaf stamp instead...I think it looks great that way....

Back from Portland Regional with SU

I had a great fun time at the Stampin Up Portland Regional on my birthday...yes, I got to do stamping on my birthday and then drive home after.  I drove up to Portland on thursday and stayed at The Country Inn out near to the airport and Ikea.  One of the fun things about these events is all the swapping of cards..this is one of the cards I made to swap in honor of my birthday.....
